6 Pc JP Limoges Cobalt Gold Encrusted 8.5 Cherub Heavenly Angels Dessert Plates. Listing for a beautiful and stunning J Pouyat Limoges Cobalt Gold Encrusted Cherub Angels Dessert Plates Set with 6 plates total. They measure 8.5 inches diameter each. They feature playful Heavenly Angels frolicking in the clouds! They are all in mostly very good condition overall with mostly no chips cracks, breaks, repairs, or crazing, and strong gold gilt, except three plates each have a small minor nick on the front rim that has been gold colored in to blend in as shown in the last three pictures. These three plates are the ones shown in the first listing photo that are lying down in the front of the plates standing up in the background. They have a beautiful decorative floral transfer…. Of Blue & Pink floral design with gold leaves it is accented with an encrusted gold trim… With a raised and scalloped edge…. These are stunning pieces dating from 1800’s to early 1900’s…. The luncheon/salad plates measure 9 1/4 in diameter and I see no chips or cracks… The colors are bright and crisp… These have managed to stand the test of time…. They have some gold wear on the outside rim’s from aging over the years…. The gold around the top trim around the top of the plates are clean bright and no wear…. Very pretty shallow porcelain bowl. Decorated with pink and white roses over a yellow, brown, blue and purple background. With gold gilt arch pattern around the center and gold clouded gilding along the edge. Marked on the bottom GDA France in green. This is a whiteware mark used by Gerard, Dufraisseix & Abbott between 1900 and 1941. Also has a retailers mark Made Expressly For Bailey Banks & Biddle Philadelphia & Co. Has some wear to the gilding and a few in manufacture stacking flakes to the foot rim, but otherwise good condition with no post manufacture chips or cracks. Measures approximately 9 3/4 inches wide x 1 3/8 inches tall. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.
