8 Bisto, England Gold Ring Porcelain Plates. Condition: wear commensurate to the age but there are no chips or cracks. Some rubbing on the rims and the body of the plates. This mark (Caduceus) was registered as a trade mark by Powell & Bishop in 1876 the mark was also used by subsequent partnerships including Powell, Bishop & Stonier. Caduceus: A winged staff with two serpents twined around it, carried by Hermes (Greek God) it is a symbol of commerce. Measures: 11″ in diameter and 1″ H. Please refer to the pictures for details.
