Minton Embossed Gold Gilt + Pale Blue 9 Plate. T Goode & Co, Ltd. A stunning Minton 9 lunch or cabinet plate with beautifully embossed gilt brocade. On a soft, pale slate blue background. The plate was made for the famous London retailer T Goode and Co. Who still operate out of Mayfair today. These plates were at the top end of luxury dining and were eye-wateringly expensive when new. Which is why so few are found today, as they were produced in very small numbers. Gold back stamp to reverse including the retailers detail, further impressed marks and pattern number H5043. Truly fabulous condition — like new! No signs of use/wear. No gold loss, discoloration, chips, scratches, cracks, crazing, or repair. Please see Photos for condition.

The center has been painted ever so pretty with the bone white shine and green and gold design. The plate is hand-painted and has no visible chips or cracks. There is paint wear on one gold leaf in the center of the plate and the gold rim on the outer rim is almost gone. It actually does not take away from the beauty of this piece. It is marked on bottom in first green Copeland China and then it was written over with in gold and states, T. As if the maker is Copeland China but made for T. 8.75″ wide and 1.5″ inches high.
