Beautiful vintage Meito fine porcelain china set 76 piece dinnerware set heavily gilded. Vintage but never used… Not sure what pattern is but i think it was from the 30’s to 50’s.. What is included is as follows. 7 9 7/8 dinner plates. 11 eight sided squre salad or luncheon plates. 10 desert or fruit bowls. 21 saucers or underplates. 76 pieces in total exceptional condition with no cracks breaks or repairs… Each dish type has its own soft cloth zip up storage bag.

Large Chinese Porcelain Ornamental Tureen. Deep Red, Heavily Gold Embellished. According to a Chinese porcelain expert, in China, a similar item called “top-grader pot” was first used for cooking but later on became mostly a decorative item. This large round tureen with lid set is painted in deep red, green, blue and gold, with pastoral scenes on two faces of the bowl, two on top of the lid, and scrolled Jacobean style vining highlighted with gold on both sides of the bowl and two panels of the lid. The lid finial is red and gold, centered over a spray of tobacco leaves. Foo dog faces in gold glaze ornament each side of the bowl. Both pieces are in as new condition with no chips, cracks, nicks or abrasion. It is made by Oriental Accent, and stamped “Not for food use” on the underside. Felt pads have been applied to the bowl’s bottom to prevent damage to fine furniture finishes. Pads are also applied to the under-rim edge of the lid to protect the lid and bowl from mutual damage. Dimensions: overall width at handles, 15. Bowl diameter at rim, 23.5. Height of bowl without lid, 7.75. Overall height to handle top with lid in place, 13.5. Knob/finial, 2.75″ tall, 2.75″ diameter.
