You are looking at a wonderfully made Japanese Ardalt porcelain 6 piece lady’s vanity set in the Art Nouveau style–very ornate and hand painted and gilded. All having the central hand painted cartouche of the beautiful woman and the cherubs along with floral garlands of one sort or another.. The colors are very muted pastels with heavy gold surrounds and some raised porcelain flowers as well. This was made by the House of Ardalt and is in the pattern Lenwile–rare to find this many pieces still together as a set. This set is mint with one small exception and thatis withthe pin tray (the small tray)–there is a chip in the gilding on the right hand side… Doesn’t show because of the gold but it is there. I got this set at an estate sale earlier in the week–hope youlike it as much as I did–very rare this cherub Lenwile pattern… If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask them..
