These are stunning pieces dating from 1800’s to early 1900’s…. The luncheon/salad plates measure 9 1/4 in diameter and I see no chips or cracks… The colors are bright and crisp… These have managed to stand the test of time…. They have some gold wear on the outside rim’s from aging over the years…. The gold around the top trim around the top of the plates are clean bright and no wear…. 8 Bisto, England Gold Ring Porcelain Plates. Condition: wear commensurate to the age but there are no chips or cracks. Some rubbing on the rims and the body of the plates. This mark (Caduceus) was registered as a trade mark by Powell & Bishop in 1876 the mark was also used by subsequent partnerships including Powell, Bishop & Stonier. Caduceus: A winged staff with two serpents twined around it, carried by Hermes (Greek God) it is a symbol of commerce. Measures: 11″ in diameter and 1″ H. Please refer to the pictures for details.
