Antique Chinese Oriental Pottery Porcelain Koi Fish Bowl Planter Pot with flowers, nature, and people scenes. This pot has a lot of gold paint, both flat and raised. Every view looks different. I love the pinkish and bluish mosaic style patterns on the top of the rim. The fish and aquatic plants painted on the inside are classic. On o ne side are Chinese people. The other side is Blue, Red, Black, and gold flowers with gold butterflies. There are some rocks and what looks like clouds with blue, white, red, gold, and black with hexagon shapes inside of them. I was pleasantly surprised by the two hearts painted on one side. The little oval raised gold emblems going around the top and bottom of this pot appear to have some green color in them as well. The dirt on the bottom rim does not seem intentional. Nor does the crazing seem intentional. It is not uniform like some that I have seen and gets darker around the top of the pot. In fact, some spots on the inside have more evident crazing that have turned dark. This bowl measures a little over 10 inches wide and 8 inches tall. It tapers to the base which is about 7 3/8 inches wide. The elderly woman that I got it from worked all over the world for the government and lived in China for a long time back in the mid 1900’s. I do not know how to identify the red Chinese marking on the bottom which also says “made in China” in English. This pot weighs 7 lbs. If you need more pictures I will gladly send them to you.
