Ambrosius Lamm of Dresden Hand-Painted Porcelain Plates set of 8, each monogrammed with what looks like an FH. Pates are 6 inches in diameter. These are very fine hand painted Dresden dessert plates. Each boarded in a deep, intricate gilded work, built up carefully in a complex profusion of flowers finished in burnished encrusted gold, a level of execution that is consistent with the finest works produced by Ambrosius Lamm’s Dresden shop, this work of art remains in simply gorgeous condition. For any serious collectors of Dresden porcelain works, particularly the highly sought-after works from the shop of Ambrosius Lamm. Each plate is slightly scalloped with solidly gilt embellished with tiny gilt paste beading above the well of each plate. Marks: Stamped on verso with the blue lamb and “Dresden 240″ Monogrammed in raised gold, looks like “FH” on verso. Please note: 2 plates have small chips, can only be seen from the back. One plate has a hairline crack that does not penetrate the plate and can also only be seen from the back. All chips and the crack are seen in the images. Some of the gild work is worn. The plates have no utensil marks, cracks, crazing, repairs or chips on any of these plates. They were only used as display plates, but the gilding shows some wear. Each are approximately 6 in diameter. These plates are absolutely stunning and would make any table setting quite lovely! If you have any questions, please contact me.
