Up For Sale: Rare Antique Porcelain Pottery Duck Mandarin Asian Chinese Bird Green Gold. Condition: Very good–pre-owned, older piece of porcelain glazed pottery from China, signed on bottom, unknown period, maker. There are 2 birds about 4 inches tall by 5.5 inches long with some imperfections due to age, NO real damage, paint has worn in many places through the years. These are very well designed, lots of detail, expertly crafted and glazed with Chinese mark or period on lower bottom. They appear to be identical. Green glazed, gold painted trimming. See all photo’s for complete visual description and feel free to ask questions. These are a must for the serious collector of fine antiques, and or Chinese period pieces. You won’t be disappointed! 12 Wedgwood X5129 Pink Chrysanthemums GREEN & Gold Dinner Plate Circa 1900 – 1920. Very pretty AND VERY RARE Scalloped golden edge porcelain bone china dinner plates. Decorated with hand painted pink chrysanthemum flowers framed in gold gilt floral sand scrollwork designs. With a wide lime green border and a darker olive green inner embossed thin band. Marked on the reverse with a vase above three stars and Wedgwood England. This mark was used between 1900 and 1920. Also has the pattern number X5129 RN 353929. Plates are in very nice Antique condition some minor wear to the gilding and other tiny marks of gently use like utensil marks, but otherwise great condition with no chips or cracks. Measures approximately 10.25 inches wide. These are an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the pieces.

This extraordinary set was made in May of 1949 at the Newell, West Virginia plant. As I understand it, the 22kt gold floral pattern is number HLC119 called “The Golden Fleece”. This set is missing one dinner plate reducing this 80 piece set to 79 pieces. The china set is a cream color with an iridescent mother of pearl high gloss glaze which is quite rare. The design is composed of gold flowers and the edges and handles are trimmed in heavy 22kt gold. If you’re not familiar with this rare and unique china, here’s a little back story. In 1916 George H. Bowman was the largest wholesale and retail dealer in cut glass and decorated china in the United States. George Bowman was the factory representative for the Homer Laughlin China Company and he was responsible for conceiving a great number of the top tier decorated sets. This stunning set is the result of the exceptional workmanship of George Bowman and the incomparable quality of Homer Laughlin china. This set is museum quality.
