Decorated with an cream, cranberry red, and raised scrollwork and beaded medallion in the center of the plate. Has an cream border with heavy raised gold floral scrollwork designs and beading, with cranberry red panels with gold gilt overlay. Unmarked, but probably made during the Nippon era of Japanese porcelain, circa 1891 to 1921. Has some wear to the gilding, and a small in manufacture stacking flake to the foot rim, but otherwise good condition. Measures approximately 8 5/8 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.
