Vintage 70s Era Chinese Porcelain Koi Fish Planter Vessel Heavy Gold Floral Pot. This vintage Chinese porcelain fish may be a planter, a bowl- some sort of vessel. Measures 11 1/2″ long x 5 1/4″ wide x 4 3/4 tall at tail tip. The bottom mark roughly reads (to my understanding) as follows. Da Qing Qianlong Nian Zhi, Great Qing Dynasty, Qianlong Period, Made. Note: it is not an antique item, the way the mark is written indicates mid-late century make- 60s-70s. Piece is painted throughout with flowers, courtesan / people scenes, birds, branches, clouds, plants, etc. Heavy gold cover, thick porcelain and detail work. Signs of wear throughout (gold wear), no chips or cracks. Some areas have glazing, others don’t on the paint. No signs of this piece ever having eyes, branches & birds painted onto the area.
