Antique FINE Qing Chinese Brass, Enamel & Hand Painted Porcelain Round Box. For your consideration is an outstanding antique box, made of thick turned brass. Round form, closes tightly. An inlaid convex fine white porcelain plaque, all hand painted – displays a moving scene of a tiger hunter, slaying the animal with a sword. Three blue-enameled rosette ornaments around the plaque on the lid, and four rectangular cartouches with turquoise enamel all around on the sides of the body – moth insects around a Shou symbol, encased in a meander frame. Marked CHINA on the underside, as pictured. Antique – a Chinese Export piece from the late 19th/early 20th century.
