Beautiful vintage 11 piece, JE-OH China tea set, hand painted by Nippon, made in Japan. Pieces are decorated with a scene of pink flowers, vines, and a blue and peach bird, encircled by a black ring, over a band of pail yellow glaze. Further highlighted by gold trim on the rim and and handles. Cups measure; 3 7/8″ diameter x 2″ deep x 4 5/8 including handle and holds. Saucers measure; 5 3/8″ diameter x 3/4″ deep. Lidded Sugar Bowl measures; 4 1/4″ diameter x 5 3/4″ at handles x 3 1/2 tall (including handle and lid height). Creamer measures; 3 5/8″ diameter x 3 3/8″ tall (including handle) x 5 1/4 at spout and handle. Lidded Tea Pot measures; 4 7/8″ diameter x 4 5/8″ tall (including lid) x 7 5/8 across (including spout and handle) and holds 16 oz. The some of the pieces have minor manufacturing defects like a glaze skip, paint smudge or paint skip. One of the delicate saucers has a small flea bite on the rim and some of the cups and saucers show minor black paint wear. Otherwise, the set is in excellent vintage condition free of stains, cracks, chips, crazing, and repairs. Please view zoomed photo’s carefully as they are part of the overall description.
