Noritake Romance 76835 China Set. This set was made in the late 1920s or the 1930s. It is really in excellent condition. It is rare to find a set from the depression era that is so unused and intact. There are just a few pieces with minor chips and there are no cracks at all. All of the pieces have a red mark on the base that reads Noritake (then has an M with a wreath around it) Made in Japan Romance U. The following is a list of what is included in the set along with amounts, measurements, and condition of the pieces: 1 Platter- 13.75? Diameter, 10.5? Wide, and 1 1/2? Tall. There are no chips or cracks 1 Gravy Boat w/Attached Underplate- just the boat is 7 3/8? Long and 4 3/8? Wide. The underplate is 8 5/8? Long and 5 3/4? Wide. There is a very small amount of gilding loss and there are no utensil marks. 6 Dinner Plates- 9 7/8? In diameter. There are no cracks. 6 dinner plates- 8.75 in diameter. Gilding loss 6 Coupe Soup Bowl- 7 3/8? Diameter. There are no cracks or chips. Guiding loss around the rims. 6 Salad Plates- 7 1/2? Diameter. There are a few cracks around 2 plates edges. One has a small crack 6 Bread & Butter Plates- 6 3/8? Diameter. These plates have no chips or cracks. There are only a few light utensil marks. Gilding loss 6 Saucers- 5 5/8? . There are a few small places of loss to the design and the gilding has some wear. There are a few light utensil marks. One has a chip 5 Tea Cups- 3 3/4? In diameter, 2? Tall, and 4 3/8? Long with the handle. There are no chips or cracks on these cups. There is a little loss to the gilding on the handles.
