The “Blue Rose” design was created in 1928 and has since become synonymous with Okura Art China. The design uses a technique called “Okazome, ” which creates soft blue colors and smooth gradations with beautiful gold trim on cups and saucers. Okura Art China is known for its high-quality, hard porcelain with an intense white color and a velvety surface. The design, first created in 1928, represents a “miracle” of making a blue rose bloom when it was thought to be impossible. The company’s chinaware has been used by the Japanese Imperial Household and for government events. All four pieces in very good condition – No chips, cracks, stir marks or crazing.
