Antique Derby Queen’s Pattern Imari Plate 10 inch Rich Gilding c. A lovely and old Derby plate. This is Queen’s pattern and features bold oriental Imari pattern florals with cobalt panels, and lush use of gold. The plate measures 10 inches diameter. No chips or cracks. Has fine all over crazing. The white body of the plate has darkened to a soft cream yellow with age. Retains most of the bright enamels and rich gold. The reverse side has some grit along the foot that occurs in the firing. It is marked with the red Derby mark that dates the plate to about 1820. It is also marked with the number 28 in red. A lovely, early Derby plate. I do offer another plate that is listed as plate B. Please take a look at many new items added daily.
