Antique Chinese Hand Painted Pheasants Gamebirds & Gold 9 1/4 Inch Plate. Nice antique hard paste porcelain scalloped edge plate. Decorated with a hand painted brown pheasant in the center with gold gilt sticks. Has a border of hand painted brown pheasants and gold clouds. Gold gilding along the edge. Marked on the reverse with an underglaze blue Chinese scripted mark. Probably late 19th or early 20th century. Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition. Measures approximately 9 1/4 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece. 12 Antique 1920s Royal Doulton Porcelain Fine China Gold Gilded Dinner Plates. Presented is an antique set of 12 porcelain or fine china dinner plates made by Royal Doulton during the first quarter of the 1900s. This old set is done in a very decorative pattern. Each plate is beautifully painted or enameled with bright gold Greek Key, flower, heart and festooned bands of design along the rim and a center flower design. Royal Doulton only added gold foot rims to the highest quality pieces, such as this set. The underside of each plate bears the Royal Doulton hallmark used between the 1900s and the 1930s. The pieces are also marked for retail by Bailey, Banks & Biddle of Philadelphia and they have a model or pattern number of 3941. This set is in excellent overall condition, especially considering age. The plates have minimal surface wear such as scratching from knives and forks, but no major damages to the paint and there are no chips and no cracks. Each plate measures 10 1/2 inches in diameter. Offered from a local Non-Profit Organization is a full set of. 12 ANTIQUE JEAN POUYAT LIMOGES FINE PORCELAIN DINNER PLATES. McD & S Co (Jones, McDuffie & Stratton Co) Boston. These 10 1/4 plates have 3 bands of gold tracery on the rims, all different motifs. The center one overlaid on deep red and a large 2 3/4 lace tracery snowflake medallion in center. All have NO chips, cracks, crazing or staining. No noted surface scratches. All may have some loss of gold and it is noted on all rims from the side view, SEE PICS. But only one has notable wear to the central medallion and that is shown in final photo. On the rest it is consistent with age (100 years old). See the photos of all plates and enlarge. Great to get a full set of 12 with no breaks! All of the items I sell are vintage, antique or collectible and will show some signs of use or wear. Please do not be expecting to receive a “new” condition item. Even excellent condition items will not look new and will show some signs of use.
