19thC Antique J. Fischer Budapest Hungary Porcelain Chinese Foo Dog Censer Jar

We’re happy to offer today for your consideration. This beautiful piece of antique circa 1885 Josef Fischer Budapest Hungary porcelain in the shape of a 3 footed chinese censer with foo dog lid finial ornamentation and fabulous faces for the 3 feet. Measures 11 tall from feet to top of foo dog head. Circumference of censer is 22. Decoration is all hand painted and you can feel the paint with your fingers. Lid is reticulated for incense smoke release and there is an air passage out through the foo dogs mouth too! There is a very tiny hairline crack on the front right leg of the foo dog and a repair on the very tip of its tail. One of the feet has been repaired as well at the seam. Some chips in rim and inside rim that are not visible when displayed. Comes from the estate of a porcelain collector who acquired pieces over a period of 50 years. My research shows that this piece likely was exhibited and displayed in 1885! According to online sources… My price reflects the rarety and beauty of this wonderful one of a kind J.
