No later than 1926, perhaps many decades older. These dishes are unique, since there is a monogram, apparently L, T, W, in that order, with the letter T slightly larger, presumably standing for the surname. There is no family crest, but there are armorial pretensions in the use of the shield. The gold personalization is ENGRAVED. I know this because I own other pieces from the set where the gold has worn off and the engraving is still there underneath. These bread or dessert plates measure 5.25 inches in diameter. Marked on the reverse Copeland’s China England. Also has a retailer mark for T Goode & Co London and a pattern number D1308 in red. The second number in the date code did not impress, but it is probably 1890s. Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition. Measures approximately 8 7/8 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece. Decorated with a green and gold fancy CLB monogram in the center with yellow enamel beads. Has a ring of gold gilding with small gold beads along the inner rim. Has a wide border of green with gold floral swags below raised gold scrollwork, yellow enamel beading with red shading over white and black stripes with gold beaded flowers and scrollwork. Gold gilding along the edge. Marked on the reverse Copeland’s China England. This mark was used starting in 1891. Has an impressed J01 Date code for January 1901. Also has an importer/retailer’s mark for Nathan-Dohrmann Co San Francisco Made in England and a pattern number R1201 in red. Has some wear to the gilding and some loss to the yellow beading in the monogram, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks. Measures approximately 10 1/4 inches wide. Copeland Spode Monogrammed CLB Yellow & Gold Beaded Green 10 1/4 Inch Plate Circa 1901. Nice antique late Victorian era porcelain bone china dinner plate. Decorated with a green and gold fancy CLB monogram in the center with yellow enamel beads. Has a ring of gold gilding with small gold beads along the inner rim. Has a wide border of green with gold floral swags below raised gold scrollwork, yellow enamel beading with red shading over white and black stripes with gold beaded flowers and scrollwork. Gold gilding along the edge. Marked on the reverse Copeland’s China England. This mark was used starting in 1891. Has an impressed J01 Date code for January 1901. Also has an importer/retailer’s mark for Nathan-Dohrmann Co San Francisco Made in England and a pattern number R1201 in red. Has some wear to the gilding and some loss to the yellow beading in the monogram, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks. Measures approximately 10 1/4 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece. Antique English Copeland Hand Painted Plate Jeweled. Cobalt Blue Background with Lush Gold Floral and Raised Enamels. What a beautiful English hand decorated plate! Rich cobalt background decorated with a gold gilt lily floral in center and surrounded by a gold leafy vine border in shades of copper and gold accented with red berry raised enamel ” jewels”. The gold gilt encrusted border and jewels in red and then white on the green key shaped rim are stunning. Plate measures 8 1/4 inch diameter. Gold is in excellent condition. Marked on back in green underglaze Copelands China England. This mark was used by Copeland Spode in the early part of the 20th century. Please view all the photos. Decorated with hand painted pink rose and blue forget me not garlands with gold leaves. With small gold gilt dots above the garlands. The garlands hang from gold rings around a gold band. With small gold scallops along the edge of the plate and a band of gold gilding around the center. Marked on the reverse Copeland’s China. Also has an importer’s mark for Burley & Co Chicago Ill. Has an impressed Y over 90 date code for May 1890. Has some wear to the gilding and usage wear consistent with age, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks. Measures approximately 9 5/8 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
