A Fabulous antique c. 1899 Art Nouveau hand painted raised enamel gold gilt artist signed Royal Vienna portrait plate. The hand panted double portrait (two woman with peacock) is absolutely fabulous. The work and details are outstanding. The gold and Silver leaf are incredible and have raised jeweled areas along the outer rim of the plate. Signed by the artist “Ahne” and probably being one of his best. The plate measures 8 3/4 in diameter and has no chips, cracks or repairs. Vienna mark in back and Jugendtraume. Coalport Hand Painted Pink Rose Cobalt Beaded Gold & White Enamel 9 3/8 Plate. Nice bone china plate. Decorated with large hand painted pink roses in the center. Has a cobalt blue border with raised white enamel and gold beaded floral and scrollwork designs above a band of gold gilding with beading and another band of gold gilt scrollwork. Gold gilding and scalloped gilding along the edge of the plate. Unmarked except for some woman’s ciphers. Circa 1860 to 1880. Has some wear consistent with age including a few small scratches mostly to the leaves, and some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks. Measures approximately 9 3/8 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
