Johann Haviland, Bavaria Germany. 1950s-1970s, this elegant Bavarian porcelain features delicate pink rose sprays, embossed scalloped edges, and hand-applied gold trim. Set Includes (86 Pieces Total). 11 Dinner plates (10.5). 7 Salad/Luncheon plates (7.5-8). 5 Medium plates (7). 5 Small plates – Style A. 9 Small plates – Style B. 11 Rimmed soup bowls (7.5-8). 8 Fruit/Dessert bowls (5.5). 8 Teacups – Style A (pedestal foot, flared bowl). 8 Teacups – Style B (tapered, shorter foot). 1 Covered sugar bowl. 1 Teapot with lid. 1 Gravy boat with attached underplate. 1 Large oval serving platter (13-14). 1 Medium oval serving platter (11-12). Johann Haviland (Bavaria, Germany). Fine Bavarian porcelain china. Romantic floral, Victorian revival, scalloped with gold trim. “Johann Haviland Bavaria Germany”. (printed underglaze, 1950s-1970s production). Very good vintage condition. 1 chip on a bowl which is notated in the photos. Gold trim shows only light wear consistent with age. Backstamps are clear and visible on all pieces. Carefully stored and well cared for.

I like the diamond shapes of the reticulated pattern. 24 karat gold gilding is featured on the highlights. Of the rim as well as around the platter’s center. AN ABSOLUTELY SPECTACULAR PLATTER!! I collected oyster plates for years and this is by far the most beautiful plate I have ever seen. The 24 karat gold embellishes the blue ocean theme which accentuates the Elegance of this plate. It doesn’t get much more elegant and special as this. The vintage or antique oyster plate by Welmar features a scalloped edge round shape in blue, gold, and white porcelain, Made in Germany in the the probable mid-20th century, it is hand-painted with a Victorian style, 24k gold trim, and a glossy finish. In all my research, I have never found another place such as this one, so it may be more of an antique than vintage. The plate has 6 oyster placement and a gorgeous scalloped edge decorative design, perfect for all occasions. I have a total of four of these available but have two decided to sell individually unless someone is interested in all four.
