Chinese Gold Plated Tin Inlay Blue Porcelain Tea Set. STUNNING 20th century example of the traditional Chinese Traditional Handicraft known as Jin Xiang Yu (Tin Inlay). As I understand it, the base material is Zibo porcelain with 24k gold plated tin inlay. The decoration features the traditional dragon/phoenix design. It is not an antique example, but a 20th century reproduction of the traditional handicraft technique. Such a beautiful combination – rich cobalt blue and bright gold! This set has a lidded teapot and 6 sets of cups and saucers. SIZE: Teapot measures about 7 1/2 wide from handle edge to spout tip. Saucers about 3 3/4 in diameter. Cups about 2 7/8 in to diameter plus the handle. That said, since it is pre-owned, please expect that there may be a few very minor signs of age or use.
