With a border of platinum and raised gold floral designs, a band of gold gilt laurel leaves, and a turquoise band with raised gold beading. Scalloped gilding along the edge. Has an English registry mark on the reverse for September 25th 1868. This registry date is listed in the Encyclopedia of Marks on American, English, and European Earthenware, Ironstone, and Stoneware as Brown Westhead Moore and the blank is pictured on the Cauldon Place Patterns website. Possibly decorated outside the factory. Has some usage wear consistent with age and some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks. Measures approximately 10 1/4 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece. Brown Westhead Moore Cauldon S Pope Hand Painted Pink Rose & Raised Gold Plate
Brown Westhead Moore Cauldon S Pope Hand Painted Pink Rose & Raised Gold Plate Beautiful porcelain luncheon plate. Nicely decorated with large hand painted pink roses with green and pink leaves with gold highlights and raised gold leaves. Also has a small raised gold butterfly. With gold gilt highlights to the relief molded edge. Signed by the artist S Pope. Marked on the reverse Cauldon Ware Brown Westhead Moore & Co Potters to Her Majesty. This mark was used between 1890 and 1904. Also marked with the pattern number B 6502. Has some wear to the gold, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks.
