Antique Limoges 4 Pc Place Setting Raised Gold Encrusted Dinner Plate Cup Saucer. Listing for a magnificent and spectacular antique all Limoges Raised Gold Encrusted Jeweled 4 piece place setting that is ultra rare and hard to find. The dinner and salad plates are both by Ahrenfeldt Limoges for retailers Bailey Banks and Biddle and Gumps. The cup and saucer are by Guerin Limoges for retailers Burley and Terrel. They are all in excellent condition like new never used. The dinner plate measures 10.25 inches diameter and the salad plate measures 8.25 inches diameter. The Tea Cup is 2 1/8 inches tall by 3.25 inches mouth diameter and the saucer is 5 3/8 inches diameter. All are heavily gold encrusted and the plates have Raised gold decorations throughout. Has an cream border, with scalloped gilding along the edge. Signed by the artist JP Hewitt. Has an impressed Bodley mark on the reverse. Circa 1870s to 1890s. Based on color charts, I would say the green is a jade or sea-foam green. Marked on the reverse Royal Doulton Made in England. Also has an importer’s mark for Marshall Field & Company Chicago. With a border of platinum and raised gold floral designs, a band of gold gilt laurel leaves, and a turquoise band with raised gold beading. Scalloped gilding along the edge. Has an English registry mark on the reverse for September 25th 1868. This registry date is listed in the Encyclopedia of Marks on American, English, and European Earthenware, Ironstone, and Stoneware as Brown Westhead Moore and the blank is pictured on the Cauldon Place Patterns website. Possibly decorated outside the factory. Has some usage wear consistent with age and some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks. Lamm Dresden China LMQ114 Dinner Plate Raised Gold Flowers & Lattice Set of 7. Antique late 1800s Ambrosius Lamm Decorating Studio, LMQ114 Dinner Plate, Set of Seven Plates. The Dinner Plates measure 9 1/2 in diameter and have no chips, cracks, or fleabites. There is a very tiny amount of gold loss. Gold is 99.9% intact. It has Your Grandfather’s Monogram in the Center of the Plate. The Monogram looks like’EPC’. Marked on the back as pictured with the mark of the famous Dresden Decorator Ambrosius Lamm (earliest mark used from 1887 – 1890) and with the pattern number’114′. Ambrosius Lamm opened his Decorating Studio in Dresden Germany in 1887. His Decorating Studio used only the finest porcelain blanks including Meissen and KPM. Will be securely packed using lots of packing material for a Safe Arrival at Your doorstep.
