Nice porcelain bone china plate. Decorated with a hand painted scene of a woman in classical garb paying a harp framed by gold beading and raised gold floral designs over a band of olive green with gold dots. Has an cream border, with scalloped gilding along the edge. Signed by the artist JP Hewitt. Has an impressed Bodley mark on the reverse. Circa 1870s to 1890s. Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks. Measures approximately 8 3/4 inches wide. With a border of black and green with gold gilt and raised gold gilt scrollwork, urn, flowers, and lattice designs. Gold encrustation along the edge. Based on color charts, I would say the green is a jade or sea-foam green. Marked on the reverse Royal Doulton Made in England. Also has an importer’s mark for Marshall Field & Company Chicago. Has scalloped gold gilding along the edge. Plate is not marked Pointons; however, it matches another smaller plate I have listed separately that has a Pointons mark used between 1883 and 1891 and the same pattern number. Marked with the pattern number D23 in red. Has some wear to the gilding and some usage wear, but otherwise good condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing. Measures approximately 9 inches wide. Coalport Raised Beaded Gold Urns & Floral Scrollwork Crimson Red 8 3/8 Plate C Fabulous scalloped edge porcelain bone china plate in the X 2451 pattern with raised gold gilt beading and gold gilt floral scrollwork along the inner rim. With elaborate raised and beaded gold gilt Neoclassical urns and floral scrollwork pattern over a dark crimson red along the border. Gold gilding along the edge. Marked on the bottom England Coalport AD 1750 with a crown. This mark was used between 1891 and 1920. Also marked with the pattern number X 2451 in gold. Very minor wear to the gilding, but otherwise excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Measures approximately 8 3/4 inches wide.
