The bowl is covered overall in a lustrous jet-black glaze, with the surface densely decorated by golden-brown hare’s-fur crystallizations radiating outward from the center of the bowl. The fine streaks are smooth, delicate, and clearly defined, and under light they reveal a warm, soft metallic sheen. This is an exceptionally rare and high-grade glaze among Song dynasty Jian kiln hare’s-fur tea bowls.
