Maker : This delightful set of 8 dessert plates is by Hungary’s flagship china maker Herend. Located in the ancient city of the same name, the factory has been producing exquisite and highly coveted luxury china since 1826. Design: The set is in the beautiful pattern called Queen Victoria, one of the company’s most famous and popular designs. It has been produced in various forms since it was presented to Queen Victoria at the London World Exhibition of 1851. It is still in production. Elegant, finely detailed and utterly gorgeous, with superbly hand painted and boldly colored flowers, leaves and butterflies, these green trimmed plates would make a powerful statement of good taste on any table. Marks : The modern blue Herend back stamp and the shape number 1520 are on the back of each plate along with the designation VBO, an abbreviation of the pattern name in French: Victoria avec Bord en Or (Victoria with gold border). Condition : All 8 plates are in excellent condition with no marks, nicks, chips, cracks, scratches, stains, discoloration, repairs, crazing or wear.
