S&S Limoges France Set of 9 Cups/Saucers (18pcs)

No cracks, or crazing. One tiny fleabite chip on the lip of one cup. A few small spots of discoloration in the gold trim. Details: Straight sided, low white porcelain cups with a gold swag decorated ivory band and gold border on lip with a raised diamond pattern. Semi-conical shaped saucers have identically decorated rims sloping to a flat white center. Saucers are not marked. Cups are marked “S&S/L France” in green.

Limoges France 41 pc Dinner Set Gold Trim Limoges France Vignaud Viskauo. 41 piece Limoges France fine china set. 1 7.5 plate (chipped in 2 places). 9 6.25 small side plates. 6 8.5 salad plates. 12 9.5 dinner plates, (4 have chips). 4 5 small shallow bowls. 9 7.5 larger shallow bowls. All are still functional and chipping isn’t that bad in my opinion. Gold trim may have signs of wear. Considering the age, not too bad.

This magnificent dinnerware set is a must-have for those who appreciate vintage elegance. Made by Theodore Haviland Limoges France in the early 20th century, this set features a gorgeous octagonal shape and glossy finish, with gold trim that adds luxury to any table setting. Each of the 24 pieces is made from high-quality porcelain, and the set includes the following. 4 dinner plates 9.75. 4 luncheon plates 8.75. 4 bread and butter plates 6.5. 4 Berry bowls sauce dishes 5. 4 Saucers 5.75. 4 Teacups 8 oz. All pieces are in very good condition, especially considering the age of the dishes. There is minimal wear, mostly on the gold trim, but it is not excessive wear by any means. Also, there are minimal utensil marks. I’m not sure of the pattern name, possibly art deco.

Porcelain Chinese export armorial plate from France. Crest/Coat of Arms is a Lion on one side – a Goat on the other. There is a banner that reads. “To be, rather than be seen”. Same motto is used on several different organizations. Samson Style with Cie des Indes France on back. Front of Plate is in very good condition: no visible cracks – no visible chips or repairs. On back there are two small glaze contractions – most likely from firing cones. EXTENSIVE gold leaf – which is in excellent condition. More than most plates of this style. Tiny bit of fading, maybe even scratch overs in some places. Cobalt color is in good condition. Light fading in other colored spots – minor. Back is hallmarked in script with Cie des Indes France. Back is stamped with Bailey Banks & Biddle of Philadelphia. Plate Diameter is approx 9.25 when measured. Not appraised but have conducted extensive research. This plate is either from an estate collection from BB&B, or was commissioned by them. Dating this plate at 1900’s but may be as early as 1800’s. This plate was acquired through a 38 year ago divorce and has been stored in box – and not handled – since.
