Decorated with a pale yellow border with hand painted cottage, church, and a castle or abbey ruin with trees. With gold gilding along the edge and gold gilding and arched/scalloped gilding along the inner rim. Marked on the reverse Worcester in red script and also with the pattern number 229 in red. Probably Grainger, Lee & Co, Worcester. Circa 1814 to 1839. Has some wear consistent with age and use including some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition. Measures approximately 8 3/8 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece. Gold gilt seaweed designs along the inner rim. With a border of green. The relief molding along the edge is gold gilded and is framing various sections with oars, fishing nets, and various symbols related to water, with beaded and raised gold shells and seaweed below. Marked on the bottom England Coalport AD 1750 with a crown. This mark was used between 1891 and 1920. Also marked with the pattern number Z854 in red. Has crazing typical of bone china and some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks. Measures approximately 9 5/8 inches wide.
