Set 10 Antique Blue White Minton Kings Lily 9 inch Plates Gold w Gorgeous Blue. A lovely and scarce pattern by Minton! Kings Lily features a bold geometric wide border of deep cobalt blue scrolls with an inner double verge line of gold and double band of outer gold on rims. The plates measure 9 inches however one plate is a bit closer to 8 3/4 inch. 8 plates are marked in a deep cobalt Minton globe and crown that dates these to 1891 to 1911. One of the plates is marked with the pink Minton globe and the Davis Collamore & Co. One of the plates is marked with impressed Minton, blue globe in underglaze blue and Kings Lily in the banner. (1860’s -1870’s) This plate has more gold loss on rim than the others and it is more of an ironstone type thicker potted plate. I have included it because this is how I found the set. It blends well with the others and its nice to have 10 of the same size! As far as condition there are no chips or nicks to the plates. All have some gold loss… Some more than others. One plate has a hairline cracks on interior white that you can feel but not really see. The glaze is still shiny on these and they all display well and are certainly ready to be put into service!
