Kerr & Binns Worcester Turquoise & Gold Armorial Crest Reticulated Plate 1852-62. Rare reticulated / pierced porcelain bone china dinner plate. Decorated with an armorial crest in black, gold, and red in the center above the motto Spera Semper Spera. The border is decorated in turquoise with small gold beads and raised gold stars. With gold gilding and gold highlights along the edge and to the reticulation. Scalloped gilding along the inner rim. Has an impressed Worcester mark without a crown, which was used by Kerr & Binns between 1852 and 1862. I have not been able to identical the armorial crest. The only mention of this motto I can find anything online is in a story called “The Class Ring” in an 1874 issue of Demorest’s Monthly Magazine, which translates the motto as Hope on, Hope Ever. Has crazing typical of bone china, staining of the type that may soak out, and two small hairlines to the reticulated edge, but otherwise good condition with no additional chips or cracks. Measures approximately 9 1/2 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece. Brown Westhead Moore Platinum & Raised Gold Floral & Turquoise Dinner Plate Fabulous porcelain bone china dinner plate. Decorated with a gold gilt snowflake medallion in the center. With a border of platinum and raised gold floral designs, a band of gold gilt laurel leaves, and a turquoise band with raised gold beading. Scalloped gilding along the edge. Has an English registry mark on the reverse for September 25th 1868. This registry date is listed in the Encyclopedia of Marks on American, English, and European Earthenware, Ironstone, and Stoneware as Brown Westhead Moore and the blank is pictured on the Cauldon Place Patterns website. Possibly decorated outside the factory. Has some usage wear consistent with age and some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks. RARE Antique Minton English Fine china Turquoise Gold Lidded 26cm Dinner Plate

An antique Minton dinner plate that has been manufactured for over 100 years. The turquoise enamel, called Minton Blue, is a symbolic decoration of antique Minton. It’s a large plate, so I think it’s nice to use for everyday use or to decorate. Fortunately, this dinner plate had a relatively clean back stamp on the back, which turned out to be manufactured in 1871. (See 9th and 10th images) The size is about 26 cm in diameter, which is a powerful size. The second image is a comparison with a normal size cup and saucer. Since it is a historic antique, it has faded in gold and there are scratches in the center due to use, so please check the image. Minton is regarded as the best of the English china factories and as such is very sought after by collectors. This range of tea wares, pattern # 1101, were made in the early 1800s. The bone china is decorated by hand with Mintons classic Turquoise enamel band and jewelled gold decoration on a pure white ground. The duo is a rare find and consists of. 1 Teacup 9.5 cm diameter x 4.5 cm high. 1 Saucer 14 cm diameter. Excellent Condition age is over 150 years fabulous colours.
