A large lidded ginger jar/urn – textured rough surface. 13″ tall x 10 1/2″ diameter (33 circumference at the widest point). Malachite textured rough etched surface. Figures depicted are an unknown horned and bearded Greek god with a woman with beautiful etched leaves and vines. This is a stunning and unusual piece. Vintage Ginger Jar LAMP CHINESE Hand Painted Orange Blue Gold Porcelain NO SHADE

Here is a beautiful vintage Chinese porcelain hand painted ginger jar lamp. Lamp was made from a real ginger jar into a lamp with woodcut base, the hand painted enamel work on lamp is done in traditional blue, orange, and gold, with 2 large white flowers accented in gold and orange. Floral motif has dark cobalt blue leaves with gold highlights, and gold and orange outline branches. 4 sides to this lamp with 2 differing designs with similar designs on each opposite side. The top neck has a different design then the lamp body. Please view pics to see all the details. This lamp is wired with a long cord measuring approximately 6 1/2 ft long with a thumb switch. The light can be worked with normal top switch or thumb switch. Ginger jar is 11 1/2 in height with a black wood piece on lid extending to hardware. Lamp is 13″ from base to top of socket and 23″ tall from base to top of wood finial. Woodcut base is 4 1/2 across. Lamp is in fine working condition and is safe. So you must provide your own. Pair Chinese Porcelain Ginger Jars with Foo Dogs Lids Golden Globes Flowers HUGE

Being offered for your consideration is this fine vintage or antique Pair of Chinese Porcelain Ginger Jars. Each jar is decorated with hundreds of raised painted flowers with bird accents over a base of gold gilt. They are topped off with gold gilt Foo dog finials on each lid. These are large jars measuring approx. 16″ tall to the top of the finial and 15″ in diameter. They are in wonderful condition with no nips, chips, cracks or repairs with very minimal pattern loss and vintage or antique wear. I have not found anothe r set like them and each is signed on the bottom with the makers mark (see images). A special pair sure to bring beauty to your space! Pair GINGER JAR with Brass Gold Lid porcelain Blue Double Happiness Chinese vtg

This is a Pair of Large Chinese JARS w/ LIDS! Condition: Last picture shows 1 of the jars has 2 tiny imperfections on the surface that are close to each other- looks like something else was touching it in the kiln or from the firing process, they are minor and cause no real issues and you can turn the jar to hide them if desired… I also do not believe these are the original lids though they are exactly the same shape and size the original lids would be perhaps made special for them? Usually you see these with the matching porcelain lid decorated in white in blue just like the jar body These lids are thick heavy solid brass, they are gold and look great on them. These are 9-1/2″ tall by 7-1/2″ wide and the top rim opening is 3-1/2″ wide and overall the rim is 3-7/8″ wide. This is Decorated with a Blue Double Happiness & Rice shapes motif that is associated with Wedding Bliss… The outer area around the top rim is un-glazed and rough textured to the touch with a traditional “Ming style” technique, while the rest of the body and interior is glazed and smooth white he White glaze. These jars usually date to the Late Qing Dynasty from the late half of the 1800’s to the early part of the 1900’s. These were hand thrown pottery in the center area you can see where 2 bowls shapes were brought together and smoothed together in the center to make the body, which was necessary so it would not fall or drop in the making process. This is for 2 reasons- I provide photos of the exact items and not stock pictures so you can always see the exact item you will get. All of my items are insured against damage in transit, I pay extra for this!
