A fine antique Limoges hand painted cabinet plate. With a painted scene of a man and a woman in fine garb seated on a railing. The rim is in cobalt blue with raised gilt decoration. Simply a wonderful plate! It is in overall very good used condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. It has normal wear to the foot, some spots wear and rubbing to the gold, light glaze and surface scratches and scuffing here and there, and other signs of light wear consistent with age. Minton K228 Raised Beaded Gold Neoclassical Scrollwork Cobalt 10 5/8 Inch Plate C Fabulous bone china dinner plate. Decorated with a cobalt blue border with Neoclassical gold gilt floral scrollwork designs with raised and beaded highlights. With gold encrusted gilding along the edge of the plate and a matching gold encrusted band below the cobalt band. Has band of ivory below list extending to the inner rim of the plate with gold floral scrollwork designs and raised beaded gold swags at the top of the ivory band. Along the inner rim of the plate is a gold encrusted band. The center of the plate is white. Marked on the bottom Mintons England in puce. This mark is listed as only used between 1891 and 1902. However, the mark also incorporates the retailer importer’s name: Davis Collamore & Co Ltd 7&9 East 52nd Street New York who were not at this address until after 1911. The plate also has an impressed Minton mark with a date code for 1927. Also marked with the pattern number K228 a. Good condition with no chips or cracks. Measures approximately 10 5/8 Inches wide. This is vintage and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.

31pc Mintons Rare Vintage Pattern Dinner Service Plates 4 Sizes Alex Anderson. For sale are 31 plates in 4 varying sizes from Minton, made especially for the Anderson Shop in Minneapolis MN. They have date stamps of 1914 and 1915. A beautiful and absolutely rare pattern from Minton adorns these plates in thick gold. No idea of the exact pattern, some are marked K, some are marked 7. This pattern is impossible to find other examples of. There are some signs of minor oxidation on the gold in some areas. The plates themselves also have some minor signs of wear such as very minor knifemarks and some of the smallest plates have some glaze crackling which is to be expected with the age of these plates. There are no chips or cracks. There are 11 of the largest plate, 8 of the second largest, 3 of the third largest, and 9 of the smallest. These are truly gorgeous and you may not see others like this again!
