Meissen Zodiac Plate “Forest Tiger Family” (Year of the Tiger), released in 2010. This beautiful collector plate features a majestic tiger family in a forest setting, illustrated in Meissen’s signature cobalt blue with elegant gold accents. The tiger is depicted playing a Setar (Persian string instrument), while the tiger cubs quietly listen in the peaceful forest. According to the original leaflet, this plate marks the beginning of Meissen’s new 12-year zodiac plate series and was designed by contemporary Meissen artist Andreas Herten. The plate itself has never been used. The item comes with the original presentation box, leaflet, and wall hanging fixture as shown in the photos.
