Cauldon Hand Painted Pansies Cobalt & Raised Gold 8 7/8 Inch Plate B Nice antique bone china plate. Decorated with hand colored purple and yellow pansies and blue forget me nots. With gold floral swags with small gold beads, raised gold floral scrollwork and cobalt leaves with raised gold beads. Heavy gold gilding along the edge. Marked on the bottom Cauldon England in black. This mark was used between 1890 to 1904. Also marked with the pattern number N4685 in red. Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition. Measures approximately 8 7/8 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.

I collected oyster plates for years and this is by far the most beautiful plate I have ever seen. The 24 karat gold embellishes the blue ocean theme which accentuates the Elegance of this plate. It doesn’t get much more elegant and special as this. The vintage or antique oyster plate by Welmar features a scalloped edge round shape in blue, gold, and white porcelain, Made in Germany in the the probable mid-20th century, it is hand-painted with a Victorian style, 24k gold trim, and a glossy finish. In all my research, I have never found another place such as this one, so it may be more of an antique than vintage. The plate has 6 oyster placement and a gorgeous scalloped edge decorative design, perfect for all occasions. I have a total of four of these available but have two decided to sell individually unless someone is interested in all four.

Each plate is decorated with hand painted flowers with gold highlights over an ivory background. Brown and gold border. Marked on the reverse with the Royal Worcester mark in puce with a date code for 1883. Also marked with the pattern number W/773 in red. These have crazing typical of bone china, wear to the gilding, and staining. One of the plates has a star/spider hairline in the center. Each plate measures approximately 9 1/8 inches wide. These are antiques and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the pieces.
