Decorated with a hand painted Watteau / courting couple scene with a sheep,, castle, and trees. Has a celeste blue border with raised gold scrollwork. Double gold gilding along the edge. Signed by the artist. Has a hand painted blue pseudo Sevres mark on the reverse. Has some scratches and enamel loss to the scene, wear to the gilding, a small gilded over flake to the edge and three chips to the foot rim, but otherwise good condition. Measures approximately 9 5/8 inches wide. This is antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.

A sweeping portrayal of noble sport and timeless elegance, this 14-inch mid-20th century Chinese porcelain plate features a dynamic hunt scene: two regal riders on horseback, flanked by loyal hounds, galloping across a rugged riverscape under misty peaks. Embellished with burnished gold scrollwork and jewel-toned medallions, the rim enhances the drama and opulence of the central tableau. ? On the reverse, a red seal mark in stylized zhuanshu (seal script) evokes imperial associations. Though symbolic, these marks were widely used during the Republic period to lend gravitas to export wares destined for Western collectors. ? A generous 14 diameter offers commanding presence?? This mark was used by Union Ceramique in Limoges France between 1909 and 1938. Has some wear to the gilding. Also has some ground spots to the back, but otherwise good condition. Vintage Chinese Qianlong Cobalt Blue Gilded Porcelain Vase/Urn With Hand Painted Hunting Scene. This beautiful vase approximately measures 12″ tall, 3.5″top opening diameter, 6″ diameter (widest part), 4″ diameter at the base. A stunning piece for Oriental Art lovers, can be used as a vase or for display. Chinese Qianlong vase/urn is hand painted enameled porcelain vase with western design fox hunting scene. Males are riding on horses surrounded by hound dogs. This rare porcelain jar/vase beautifully decorated with Western fox hunt scene with one man on horse on one side and man and a boy on the smaller horse on the other side, all of them surrounded by hound dogs. The male figures are holding a whip, one is blowing a horn. On background can be seen buildings, flowers, trees and mountains. On each side of the pictures is a gilded scrolls with floral design border over deep cobalt blue ground, also on each side is accurate gilded miniature handle. This rare heavy urn/vase is in overall excellent vintage condition, no cracks, chips or repairs. Without packaging it’s weight is over 4 pounds. Will be carefully packaged and boxed. Decorated in the Chinese Export style with a hand painted brown landscape scene with pagodas, trees and mountains in the center framed in gold with blue and gold leaves and butterfly around the center. Has a cobalt blue border with gold floral designs above red and gold scallops. Gold gilding along the edge. This has a red pseudo Asian mark on the base. This mark is commonly believed to have been used by Edme Samson, but was actually used by the company Porcelaine De Paris between 1949 and 1980. According to the book Samson, Genie de L’imitation by Florence Slitine, 2002, on page 182, these red pseudo-Chinese marks were not used by Samson, according to an M. Garcia who was the last house decorator for Samson. The book also states that these marks were used by the company Porcelaine de Paris according to a decorator, Mme. Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks. Measures approximately 8 inches wide. Please look at the pictures carefully. This vintage Chinese export tureen with underplate features a beautifully hand-painted European hunting scene on a dark cobalt blue porcelain background.
